WNBA: HOME OPENER FOR THE NEW YORK LIBERTY

WNBA: HOME OPENER FOR THE NEW YORK LIBERTY

LIBERTY/FEVER GO AT IT AGAIN

The New York Liberty‘s first home game of their 15th season will be somewhat of a ‘new’ experience. The Liberty will host the Fever in their new (temporary) arena and with a new head coach.  Playing a home and home set with Indiana, the Liberty will look to extend their winning streak and improve to 3-0.

The Liberty defeated Indiana by just one point on Friday when Cappie Pondexter‘s jumper found the bottom of the net to give NY an 81-80 victory.

Let’s take a look back at one of the Liberty/Fever battles of 2010.

HIGHLIGHTS: INDIANA FEVER at NY LIBERTY

The first place Indiana Fever traveled to NYC to take on the red-hot NY Liberty, winners of 8 games in a row.  The Fever were riding a 5-game winning streak of their own.
