WSEN Celebrates Women’s (Sports) History Month..Danica Patrick

Another Elite Milestone for Danica

2013-03-01 – We kickoff Women’s History Month celebration with a look-back at Danica Patrick’s historic day at the 2013 Daytona 500.  Patrick made history with her 8th place finish, the highest finish by a Woman in the history of the Daytona 500.  Patrick entered the race in history making fashion by becoming the first Woman to ever win the pole for a Sprint Cup Series race, she quickly followed that up by  becoming the first Woman to lead a green-flag lap in NASCAR’s premier series in the 55th Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.

Patrick is also in the running for Rookie of the Year honors.
