Becky Hammon’s ‘Ring of Honor’ Speech

Former NY Liberty and San Antonio Silver Stars guard Becky Hammon was in New York on Sunday, August 2nd to be inducted into the NY Liberty ‘Ring of Honor.’
Hammon signed with the Liberty as an undrafted free agent on May 19, 1999, and played for New York until 2006. She helped lead the franchise to three WNBA Finals appearances (1999, 2000, 2002), and New York was within a game of capturing a WNBA title in 1999. Hammon ranks second in franchise history in games played (227) and 3-point field goals (331) and is third on the all-time scoring list (2,367 points).
