Venus & Serena advance to the Australian Open Final

It will be an All-American Women’s final at the 2017 Australian Open. After facing tough opponents, Venus and Serena Williams advances and will play each other for the time.

Seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams has booked a place in her second final at Melbourne Park – some fourteen years later from when she last achieved the feat – ousting fellow American, CoCo Vandeweghe, 6-7(3) 6-2 6-3.

Serena then set up a mouth-watering Australian Open 2017 final against sister Venus after ending the magical run of Croatian Mirjana Lucic-Baroni with a 6-2 6-1 win.

It will be the first time that the pair will have met in a Grand Slam final since Wimbledon in 2009 and will be Serena’s eighth final at Melbourne Park (6-1).
