USA Basketball Women continued it world dominace, capturing its third straight FIBA World Cup gold with a 73-56 win over Liz Cambage & Team Australia.  In the process, the US Women have qualified for thr 2020 Tokyo games.

USA three-peat as World Champions, punch ticket to Tokyo 2020 Olympics

Head coach Dawn Staley became the first former player to win gold n the World Cup as both a player and a coach.
