US Women’s Soccer Team Honored with Ticker-Tape Parade in New York City

New York City  – (July 01, 2014 )

The US Women’s National Soccer team made lots of history during the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, becoming the first country to win three World Cups, Carli Lloyd became the first Woman in a FIFA WWC to score a hat trick in a Final match and scored the fastest hat trick in Women’s World Cup history. The US Women had 34 wins, 112 goals scored and the 43 games played which are FIFA Women’s World Cup records and set a new television audience high for football in the United States.

On Friday, July 10th, 2015, they added another ‘first’ becoming the firstWomen’s Sports team to receive a ticker-tape parade down New York City’s infamous ‘Canyon of Heroes.’ Each of the 23 players on the team and the coaches also received the keys to NYC from Mayor Bill de Blasio.
