UConn Women Win 8th NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship Title
The University of Connecticut Women’s basketball have never lost a championship game in eight tries and that didn’t change in New Orleans. UConn totally dominated the Louiville Cardinal Women in the 2013 Women’s NCAA Championship 93-60 was the final. The title tied Auriemma and the Huskies (35-4) with Pat Summitt and Tennessee for the most in women’s basketball history.
Super freshman Breanna Stewart was superb, scoring 18 of her 23 points in the first half and was named the Most Oustanding Player.
The UConn Women’s margin of 33 points is the largrst in an Division I – NCAA Women’s basketball championship game.
