The Metropolitan Riveters Are Your 2018 Isobel Cup Champions

Alexa Gruschow scored a goal in the first period to give the Metropolitan Riveters a 1-0 win over the Buffalo Beauts on Sunday in the Isobel Cup, the championship game of the National Women’s Hockey League, in Newark, New Jersey.

Riveters goaltender Katie Fitzgerald made 21 saves in goal to record the win that concluded the NWHL’s third season.
