This has been an outstanding season for University of Delaware’s F/G Elena Delle Donne. Della Donna leads the nation in scoring with 27.5 points per game and was recently named the CAA Player of the Year and when UD captured it’s first ever Colonial Athletic Association Tournament title, earning
them an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, Della Donna was named Most Valuable Player. “This season has been a dream for us and to share it with my teammates has been phenomenal” said Delle Donne.
The Blue Hens will be making their third ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament after facing North Carolina State in 2001 and Michigan State in 2007. Delaware enters the tournament with a 30-1 record, having won a school-record 20 consecutive games and claiming its first ever Colonial Athletic Association Tournament title over the weekend in Upper Marlboro, Md.

- Delaware’s first All-American
- Member of Team USA World University Games squad • first Delaware player to be named to the team and the first CAA player since 1993
- first player from the CAA to earn World University Games Gold as a member of Team USA – led USA with 15.7 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game, and was tied for second with five blocks

University of Delaware Women’s Basketball
The University of Delaware knows how to win in women’s basketball. The Blue Hens have had a losing record just once in the past 12 seasons. In that same span, Delaware has won 20 or more games nine times, appeared in the NCAA tournament twice and reached the Women’s postseason NIT tournament six times.
