They’re In!! Rebecca Lobo & Muffet McGraw headline the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2017

Former University of Connecticut star Rebecca Lobo and Notre Dame head coach Muffet McGraw have been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Lobo led UConn to the 1995 national championship, was the Inaugural Women’s AP Player of the Year (1995).  Lobo was a gold medalist for Team USA in 1996, and an All-Star in the WNBA in 1999 for the New York Liberty.

McGraw has been Notre Dame’s coach since 1987 and guided the Fighting Irish to the 2001 national title and seven Final Four appearances, and is a three-time consensus Coach of the Year at Notre Dame. McGraw has an 853-268 record in 35 seasons as head coach  765-227 in 30 seasons at Notre Dame.

The induction ceremony will be Sept. 8th at the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.
