They once played together at the University of Oklahoma but now the Paris sister will be starring for two different WNBA teams.
What’s up Chi-town!
I’ve always wanted to say that. I had a teammate in college, Amanda Thompson, who was from Chicago, and it was always “Chi-town this, Chi-town that”. Now I have a reason to say it! 🙂
For those of you who don’t know, I was picked up in the Monarchs dispersal draft. While I loved playing in my home state and for a team I grew up watching, I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Sky franchise, and to check out Chicago. I hear it’s a pretty neat place to be during the summer.
I have made my rounds playing overseas basketball this off season. First, I started in Israel, which I loved, and I also got a chance to meet some of the current Sky players who play there. Then, in January I decided to make the move to Turkey and I am currently playing for a team called Botas. They were a struggling team at first but I am happy to say we are making our way up in the Turkish division.
However, as I write this blog, I am actually back in the States for the remainder of the month resting, rehabbing and enjoying family. I return to Turkey on the 28th, and with this little break I can say I am ready to play again!
Well I hope to meet you all soon, follow me on twitter @Courtney_Paris.
Take care!
