Rolex Rankings No. 2 Cristie Kerr cut the ribbon on the new Cristie Kerr Women’s Health Center at the Jersey Medical Center. The state-of-the-art facility houses digital mammography machines and a breast MRI, the only one of its kind in Hudson County. With full-time radiologists dedicated to the center, patients undergoing testing are able to receive test results before leaving the center. Mammography screenings will be available for both insured and uninsured patients. Kerr helps fund the center through her Birdies For Breast Cancer charity which she founded shortly after her mother, Linda, was diagnosed with the disease.

Kerr’s friend and interior design expert Thom Filicia designed the reception area. Filicia, who is best known for his role on TV show the “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”, wanted to create a comforting environment for the patients. Guests of the event included LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan, Honorable Jerramiah T. Healy, Mayor of Jersey City, New Jersey Senator Sandra Cunningham and Dr. Julie DiGioia, the Director of the Center.
