Claressa Shields to Headline “Detroit Brawl” Boxing Card

Claressa Shields is 2-0 as a professional boxer and the Women’s NABF Middleweight Champion.  She has been a headliner for ShowTime Boxing and now Shields will headline another card.  The two-time Olympic gold medalist and Flint native will be headlining the “Detroit Brawl” card at the Masonic Temple on June 16th in an 8-round match.  This will be her first eight-round bout of her career.

Shields will face tough veteran Mery Rancier (7-8-3, 5 KOs) of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic for the WBC Silver Super Middleweight Championship.   In her last fight, Rancier went the distance with 16-0 multiple-time world champion, and current WBC Super Middleweight Champion, Nikki Adler of Germany.

The boxing event is promoted by Dmitriy Salita.
