Allyson Felix to open 2016 season at the NYC’s Millrose Games

Alyson Felix 400m ChampionOlympic champion Allyson Felix will open her 2016 season at the 2016 Millrose Games in New York on Feb. 20, meet organizers announced.

Felix will race the 60-meter dash and returns to the New Balance Armory Track and Field Center for the first time since racing as a high school junior for Los Angeles Baptist at the 2002. National Scholastic Indoor Championships.

Felix won the 200-meter gold medal at the 2012 Olympics in London. She has two silver medals and three other gold medals from relays in her career. She also has 10 world championship titles in the 200, 400 and relays. She won last year’s 400-meter world title with a personal best of 49.26 seconds.
