About DENISE J. SAUL, Founder & President

Denise Saul is the proud Founder and President of Women Sports & Entertainment Network (WSEN),  a leading website for Celebrating and Promoting Female athletes, Women in Sports and their accomplishments.

Dedicated to the memory of her mother, Eutrice, Denise started WSEN with the goal of bringing captivating, uplifting and informative stories from the world of Women’s Sports to sports fans after finding it difficult to find news about Women’s sports.

In high school & college, Denise played basketball, volleyball & softball, but after suffering torn ACL’s, Denise decided to hang up her sneakers and focused all of her attention towards academics.  Denise went on to earn a Bachelors of Science degree in Pharmacy, but she never lost her passion for sports. That love of sports led her to the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, where she was formally introduced to the world of radio and television broadcasting.

Denise is a former camerawoman, sports field reporter, and sports editor for Times Warner Cable. Since starting WSEN, Denise has witnessed first-hand the inspirational and exciting things Women are doing in sports, such as the induction of the first-ever female hockey players into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, Canada,  the first-ever WNBA player to be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts and the 2012 Pre-Olympic Gold Medalists Kayla Harrison (Judo), Allyson Felix & Sanya Richards-Ross (Track & Field), Gabby Douglas (Gymnastics), Jessica Long (Paralympic Swimmer) just to name a few, in Dallas, Texas during the Olympic Media Summit.

With these eye-opening experiences, Denise was shocked at the little attention given by the media to some of the incredible feats Women are accomplishing. It is her mission to change this and bring to light attention to ALL Women’s sports stories—from the mainstream sports like basketball, tennis and softball  to the not so well-known ones such as, archery boxing, and wrestling and amazing stories like the 70-year body-builder who holds the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest female bodybuilder.

Women do many different things in the world of sports and it is Denise’ vision to take WSEN to the same level as ESPN and make it a 24-hour channel where you can get information about All Women’s sports, All the time!!

Denise Saul and Team WSEN invites you to be a part of this mission.
