A Look Back…Abby Wambach WSENetwork’s 2011 Female Athlete of the Year

Abby Wambach made history during the 2011 Women’s World Cup when she ‘headed’ a goal in he 122′, the final moments of overtime. That goal, and the penalty kicks which followed, propelled Team USA into the semi-final vs France. Team USA then played Japan in the final, which Japan won. But the goal by Wambach will forever be remembered.
